About the Journal

LINK Centre, University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), Johannesburg, with online hosting provided by the Khulisa Journals open access platform of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf).

AJIC's predecessor, The Southern African Journal of Information and Communication (SAJIC), also published by the Wits LINK Centre, ran from 2000 to 2008, up to and including Issue 9. The re-named journal with a broader remit, AJIC, began with Issue 10 of 2009-2010.

AJIC is funded by the Wits LINK Centre and does not collect article processing charges (APCs) from its contributors.

AJIC is accredited by the South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) SA. See DHET accredited journal lists for publications to be made in 2022.
